The BENEFIT, held on April 6 at 7:30 PM ET, will honor YVONNE MCCASKILL, Coordinator of the Century City Triangle Neighborhood Association, and KEVIN SHAFER, Executive Director, Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, whose pioneering work in water management in Milwaukee have become national exemplars of responsive, community-driven water management systems, and have been key partner's in CALL's Watermarks project. Join us to enjoy a conversation between Yvonne and Kevin moderated by landscape architect WALTER HOOD, a commissioned community-sourced sound map Geographies of the Ear by composer KAMALA SANKARAM, music by PHYLLIS CHEN and more fun and festivities.
The AUCTION, live from March 9 at 8:00 AM ET to April 7 at 8:00 PM ET, features a range of experiences that will allow bidders to engage with artists, scientists, and urban designers working on the front lines of addressing climate change. From a two-night stay at a carbon-neutral development in the Catskills to a walking tour of the L.A. river's revitalization projects with Mia Lehrer to a conversation about New Mexico's 400-year-old irrigation system with local farmer and author Stanley Crawford, bid on items to connect with leading thinkers, makers and organizers in the climate sector while supporting the work of City as Living Laboratory.
