StreamLines, 2014 - 2017

StreamLines, conceived and designed by artist Mary Miss, highlighted the major tributaries of the White River through programming and installations at five sites , in diverse communities along tributaries of the White River. 

HARLEM/ emergency preparedness, 2014 - 2017

The Manhattanville Emergency Preparedness Hub, designed by Elliott Maltby, was an intensive community-driven design process to propose a structure that could serve as a site for community activities around emergency preparedness and urban sustainability, inspired by the Northern Manhattan Climate Plan. The proposal was a collaboration between CaLL and WeACT.

Bower at Artpark, 2016

Bower, designed and realized by architect Joyce Hwang and Artist Ellen Driscoll, is a series of interrelated architectural fragments, designed to promote awareness and interest in local bird species, as well as draw attention to the perils of bird-strike window collisions.

 

Ravenswood, 2011

Ravenswood / CaLL  was born from Civic Action, a collaborative project between the Noguchi Museum and Socrates Sculpture Park which invited artists to reimagine Long Island City as a district of innovation that would support collaborative projects between artists, scientists, and other experts that addressed issues of sustainability

Flow: Can You See The River, 2008 - 2011

FLOW: Can You See the River? was a precedent project for CALL//City as Living Laboratory. It brought together artists, scientists, policy makers, and others to raise awareness about the importance of the White River watershed. Mary Miss worked with the Indianapolis Museum of Art in 2011 to implement the city-wide art installation, which was paired with an exhibition at the museum and diverse programming.
